Church Planting Rev. Dr. Mike Moses, Lead Pastor, Lake Forest Church, invites all to join them for church planter training, June 10-14— Hello fellow Presbytery Leaders, Do you have a college student, aspiring minister, seminary student, or younger staff member who may in the future possibly be called to church planting? We have a great opportunity for their stage of discernment. Lake Forest Church is hosting on-site the seminary course, titled "Church Planting and Mission in a Post-Christian Context," for Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary as a week long intensive June 10-14. It will be taught by PMA members Mike Moses and Aron Gibson (TE's at Lake Forest). We have arranged for non-seminarians to take the class for $300, and are offering free local housing for a certain number of students. See this PDF file for more details. Important Church Planting Survey From Jon Gibson, Chair of the Church Planting Team of the Church Development Committee— Greetings! At our meeting back in April, I mentioned that the church planting team, part of our Church Development Committee, had put together a church planting survey for the PMA. This link is to that survey. We would greatly appreciate you taking a few minutes to fill out the survey. The information contained in this survey will be helpful for us as we compile and receive it. We hope and pray to continue to be a multiplying presbytery in the future and we firmly believe that God will multiply us both through existing churches as well as new church plants. Thank you in advance for taking the time to help us in these efforts. In Christ, |
